I started True Shines in 2014 with one other person, a used vacuum, and a rule: never send a crew to a home I wouldn't be comfortable in myself. Twelve years later we still run that rule. Every crew is in uniform, in a marked van, with photo ID, and we tell you their first names before they ring your buzzer.
We've grown carefully — 6 full-time crew leads, 14 part-time cleaners, a small office in Coal Harbour, and a waitlist for new residential recurring clients because we won't take work we can't staff properly. We lose some business that way. We'd rather lose a job than lose a client to a rushed one.
